About Us: Tarantini
Only once you have reached your destination does the path you’ve followed become clear. That’s certainly true for us: two sisters from southern Brazil who eventually made their way to North Carolina, and who now own and actively manage Tarantini. But what has always been clear is our love of food and good company. We grew up in a large family where food was the centerpiece of daily meals and the driving force that brought family members together. Our aunt even started the first-ever pizza place in our small town!
Chapel Hill has become our home, and we are so fortunate to become part of the neighborhood. Our goal is to serve high-quality, delicious Italian food at a price that anyone from families, foodies, and young couples can enjoy. You will see us greeting you at the door, stopping by your table, mixing drinks, and working in the kitchen to make sure the quality of our food is always consistent.
We are also lucky to have an amazing staff, uncle Meleti works with us and is amazing with our customers, he his Known as “Uncle” and yes, he is a Great Uncle , we are also lucky to have our Chef Absalon, who has been with us for since we opened Tarantini back in 2009 and Chef Alex Neron who also joined our team in 2010, among many other talented and reliable people who work hard every day to prepared the delicious food we serve .
